Yağışlar Barajları geçen yılın üzerine taşıdı
Devlet Su İşleri Genel Müdürü Mehmet Akif Balta, son yağışlarla baraj doluluk oranlarının geçen yılın üzerine çıktığını belirterek aktif hacimde doluluğun yüzde 42 seviyesine ulaştığını açıkladı. Balta, yağışlara rağmen su tasarrufunun hayati önem taşıdığını vurguladı.
Devlet Su İşleri (DSİ) Genel Müdürü Mehmet Akif Balta, etkili olan yağışlarla barajların geçen yılki doluluk oranının yakalandığını belirterek "Hatta şu an geçmiş durumdayız. Barajlarımızda yüzde 42 seviyesinde bir aktif hacimde doluluğa ulaşmış durumdayız" dedi.

Balta, yağışların gidişatına bağlı kalmadan hem içme hem de sulama amaçlı kullanılan suda tasarruf sağlaması gerektiğini vurguladı.
DSİ Genel Müdürlüğü olarak bu anlamda birçok çalışma yürüttüklerini anlatan Balta, şöyle devam etti:
"Tasarrufu her zaman sağlamalıyız, özellikle sulamalarda. Çünkü sulamalar suyu en fazla kullanan sektör. Kapalı borulu sistemleri inşa ediyoruz. Yağmurlama ve damlama sistemlerini öneriyoruz. Bu sistemler açık kanallı sulamalara göre suyu yüzde 50 daha tasarruflu kullanan sistemler"
DSİ Genel Müdürü Balta, "Biz suyu tasarruflu kullandığımız müddetçe kurak yıllar geçirsek de sorun yaşamayız. Barajlarımız sonuçta bir yıllık suyu depolamıyor, birkaç yıllık suyu depoladığı için aslında ülke olarak hiçbir su sorunu yaşamayız ama öncelikli olarak suyu tasarruflu kullanmayı bilmemiz lazım. Bu yıl depoladığımız suyu seneye de fazlasını aktarmak için tasarruf etmeliyiz" ifadelerini kullandı.
